ALLIANCE
FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT

OUR MISSION
& VISION
The mission of the Alliance for Community Empowerment (ACE) is to connect youth and young adults with mentorship access and support needed to achieve their life goals through community involvement in cultural events and sports activities.
Alliance for Community Empowerment strives to empower at-risk youth and young adults to create positive change in their communities by taking control of their life goals.
The Alliance for Community Empowerment works to establish cross-sector partnerships to provide direct services, assisting youth and young adults that are seeking other options in their education, are on the verge of dropping out of school, or have dropped out of school, or may be a part of the juvenile justice system. This agency will provide access to cultural performing arts and community events for all ages, community service projects, youth educational seminars, resource referrals that assist with transitioning into educational programs that best suit student needs, and leadership development.
OUR PROGRAMS

ACE YOUTH
SUMMITS
The mission of the Alliance for Community Empowerment (ACE) is to connect youth and young adults with mentorship access and support needed to achieve their life goals through community involvement.
Youth Summits are a space for minority youth to voice concerns they face in their school and communities. Data provided in this space creates the opportunity for school staff and community members to implement supports and programs to better support students furthest away from success.
The Youth Summit was created in March of 2022. It was implemented to help support the Racial Equity Teams of Seattle Public Schools and the King County Juvenile Justice Workgroup to assist in monitoring data.
At the end of each school year., data is presented to the school and community at an annual youth summit fair where many different organizations of the school’s community will be present. The data will report progress made between the school and the community and how they have worked together to support students furthest away from success and end the process of funneling students through the school-to-prison pipeline.

AAU BASKETBALL PROGRAM (ACE — HOYAS)
Works with kids and youth from the age of 9 to 14 to develop skills and basketball knowledge.
We compete in local and traveling tournaments on a weekly basis. The goal of this program is to develop and advance skills within youth sports, build positive relationships, leadership skills, and showcase skills. This program is a space for kids and youth to gain structure, and commitment while teaching them respect for themselves and others.

YOUNG LADIES CLASS (ForUS ByUS)
Works with young ladies in high school working to become great leaders, beautifully talented and creative women.
ForUS ByUS works towards building character and confidence while helping to unlock the young lady that lies within. This program provides mentorship, self-esteem building, wellness, building strength in resiliency, financial literacy, and brand-building workshops, while cultivating civically engaged black women leaders, educators, and entrepreneurs.
These young ladies will explore future careers and gain knowledge and skills that will help them determine their educational goals. From this program, young ladies will establish a strong sense of self-worth, become more interested in their education and its success, gain a stronger sense of self-esteem, and consider entrepreneurship in the near future.
